Taunton Complete double double

Both teams win the return trip to Exeter Uni

Exeter University started the better in the 2nd team jumping out to early 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2 leads, before being pegged back to 4-4 at half time. Stuart Allcock scored 2 in each half with Adam Pitman and Marie Phillips the other first half scorers. Mark Pow scored 3 goals in the second to go with Stuarts 2 to lead the 2nd team to a close, but well earned 9-6 victory. Mark Pow and Maria Lamb won the MVP honours once again.

The first team game continued the way the previous game ended, with both teams cancelling each other out in the early stages.
At half time the Taunton Soul led 6-4 with goals from Dave Hill, Gabriel Carrillo and Mark Francis.

A strong start to the second half extended Tauntons lead with goals from Ellie Kowalski, Hilary Manning and Gabs, before Exeter Uni fought back to bring the gap to 1 goal at 8-9. With the game close Taunton scored 7 of the next 9 goals to move out to a 16-10 lead. Both teams traded goals towards the end before the game finished with an 18-13 win for Taunton Soul.
